Autism Speaks

FBLA is still accepting ink cartridges for the Autism Speaks fundraiser; turn in all empty ink cartridges in room 103. Also, Westmoor's FBLA will be hosting Strides for Autism—a fundraising event that will raise awareness and funds for autism research. Please join us on Saturday, February 25th at the Westmoor track field for a fun filled event with food and prizes. Donation envelopes are readily available in room 103. Westmoor's Advanced Foods and Nutrition

On Tuesday, January 24th, Ms. Karen Calonico, our Home Economics department chair, will be taking 21 students to Buca de Bepo to see how a large-scale kitchen works as they prepare the food and the dining experience for one of the busiest restaurants in San Francisco. Also, Iron Chef Competitions will start this month. Come watch the fun, food, and artistry demonstrated by the competitors.

To Parents: 2012-2013 Budget Letter

Dear Parents,

Due to the Jefferson Union High School District's current and increasing budget deficit, the Superintendent has established an ad hoc committee called the JUHSD Budget Advisory Committee. This committee will propose various cuts in education in order to meet the $1.5 million cut in the upcoming year, such as four less instructional days for next year.
